Project Overview
The $370 million No 5 Blast Furnace Reline Project is being undertaken by BlueScope Steel at its Port Kembla Steelworks in New South Wales, Australia. The No 5 Blast Furnace is one of two operated at the site.
The purpose of the Project is to replace the protective lining on the inside of the Blast Furnace. At the same time, the Project Team is taking advantage of the lengthy shutdown to undertake a range of other repairs and maintenance tasks in and around the Blast Furnace.
